Associate Director, Medical Affairs

Principal Accountabilities

  • KOL development activities on a CEE level in collaboration with affiliate and distributor Marketing and Medical Managers
  • Proactive medical support for all CEE marketing activities (e.g., congresses, medical education, data publication review, marketing campaigns, developing publications)
  • Provide medical advice when reviewing promotional material
  • Provide strategic guidance, medical information and support to local medical managers in our affiliates and distributors
  • Work closely together with the Medical Directors in the affiliates to support local Medical Affairs needs
  • Develop and update medical local training materials as needed and deliver training
  • Support CEE regulatory affairs registration and other related tasks
  • Support CEE legal initiatives
  • Maintain close working relationships with International Marketing, US Medical Research, as well as Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Medical Operations, and Pharmacovigilance
  • Identify synergies and coordination between distributor and affiliate interests and activities
  • Support of local clinical investigator run trials (IRTs) in collaboration with local medical managers
  • Develops an ongoing data review plan to ensure appropriate patient recruitment into phase IV studies.
  • Participates in selection and management of external vendors
  • Provides study-specific training and leadership to clinical research staff, CRO, CRAs, sites and other contract personnel
  • Plans, executes, and leads study-specific meetings (e.g., SMT, investigator meetings, Advisory Committee)
  • Develops relationships with investigators and site staff
  • Selects sites and countries (with Commercial input)

Qualifications

  • Neurology experience preferred
  • 3-5 years Medical Affairs experience
  • Must be able to build stong relationships both internally and externally with KOLs
  • Fluent English and Russian (or related CEE language)

Education

  • Medical degree
